Its pink, profuse spring flowers and mint-scented foliage make it an attractive addition to gardens, particularly as a background shrub, screen, or pathway plant.

The oval leaves, approximately 3 cm long, are crowded, aromatic, dull green above and paler beneath, releasing a pleasant mint fragrance when brushed against. This makes it especially suited for borders, pathways, and low to medium screening, where the scent can be appreciated.
