Eremophila maculata – Compact Pink Form is a hardy, compact form of the much-loved Spotted Emu Bush, producing masses of soft pink tubular flowers from winter through summer, with additional spot flowering throughout the year. Reliable, colourful, and easy to grow, it is an excellent choice for dry native gardens, habitat plantings, low hedges, mixed borders, and large containers.
Growing to around 1–1.5 metres high and 1.2–1.7 metres wide, this form has a naturally dense, rounded habit that suits smaller gardens better than some of the larger forms of Eremophila maculata. Its long flowering season makes it especially valuable for wildlife gardens, and at Sylvaterre it is very popular with honeyeaters as a dependable year-round nectar source.
Like other forms of Eremophila maculata, this plant is tough, drought tolerant, frost tolerant, and well suited to sunny, well-drained positions. With light pruning after flowering, it can be kept compact, dense, and floriferous.
