Sylvaterre

Hybrid Eremophila plants include some of the most dramatic flowers, vigorous garden forms and best-known names in the genus. Many well-known hybrids are naturally occurring garden hybrids connected with the Meringur area west of Mildura in north-western Victoria, where different Eremophila species were grown close enough to cross.

Recent history shows that Eremophila polyclada can hybridise in multiple forms with several other Eremophila species and, many dissimilar Eremophila species can hybridise. For exploratory gardeners and collectors, growing at least one Eremophila polyclada within pollinator range of other Eremophila species may create opportunities for unusual seedling variation over time.
