Groundcover Eremophila plants are true surface-covering native plants, not low-growing shrubs. These forms spread across the ground, often weaving their long branches through mulch to create living cover across open soil.
Most remain very low, often around 5 cm high, while some can spread up to 3 metres wide. Some groundcover Eremophila benefit from light pruning to encourage faster, denser coverage, while others naturally form thick mats that can cover an area much like a living native lawn.
Their flowers are especially valuable in habitat gardens, where fallen blooms may be eaten by skinks, dragons and other small garden wildlife.
